Gingerbread Man Fiasco

After work yesterday, I stopped by Trader Joe's to pick up a few things and in line to checkout I happened to come across a large stack of Gingerbread Man kits left over from Christmas. It was only 99 cents so I had to get it, knowing Jillie would love it. So this is how the story went last night after making Mr. Gingerbread Man (Don't mind the mess, you try living in a 950 sq. ft. apartment with two kids, a husband, and a dog):

Jillie: I wanna hold him.

Me: Ok, let's take some pictures of you holding him.

Jillie: Okay! (Very excited and proud of her work, she held him up)

Jillie: I wanna eat him.
Me: Okay but can we take some more pictures?

Me: You better hurry and eat him or else the Gingerbread Man is going to run away...

Jillie: WAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!
Me: Oh no, he's your friend. He's nice. Don't be afraid of him, I was just kidding. He won't run away.
note: Thank you Jenni for the photos

Kiera's Blessing Day

Kiera was blessed on January 2, 2011. My sweet mother made her this beautiful dress and headband. I wish she could of been there but she was sick and is still getting over it! She also made the white blanket for Jillian when she was blessed so I used it for her as well. Kiera didn't make a peep thru the blessing and Aaron gave her such a beautiful blessing. He blessed her that she would come to know the love of our Savior and feel his compassion towards her and everyone. He also blessed her to pursue righteousness and serve her fellowmen. He said more things but I just can't remember right now. I love this sweet baby. She is so smiley. I can't believe she will already be 5 months on the 26th of this month. We love her so much.

Rody the Horse

Today we took some things to the Goodwill and while we were in line to drop things off Jillie and I noticed a red inflatable pony Sticking out of a huge box full of random things. When it was my turn to give the nice man my things to donate, I happened to ask how much the pony is. He replied, "Do you want it? I was going to throw it away." I was so excited not only for Jillie but I new it was worth alot too. It makes me wonder what other cool things they just throw away. The only thing wrong with it was it was a little dirty. So I googled it right when I got home and found out that it is from Italy and its called a "Rody" horse. The horse itself is around $40 and the base alone is $40 too. Isn't Rody cute? He has a new home now. She did get another rocking horse for Christmas that was a hand me down from my sister in law's neighbor, but I think this one fits her better and Jill seems to like it better.
