My Great Grandma Marie

My dad sent me this picture today with my great grandma holding the American Flag sitting on top of the truck. This was a Victory parade celebrating the end of World War I on November 11, 1918 in downtown Cheyenne, Wyoming. I was named after her. I remember as a little girl visiting her a few times. I am glad I got the chance to meet her. I remember her smiling all the time.

Dad has had so much fun doing geneology lately. It makes us so proud of our heritage when we run across things like this.

I love that picture too Dana. What a neat person to be named after.
